Our in-house construction team, Alderley Partnerships, is dedicated to the design, planning, and execution of innovative construction projects across the UK.
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team About the Role: As an Estimator , you will play a vital role in preparing cost estimates for land appraisals including monitoring cost changes on all live appraisals and updating cost reports for the Land Department.
You will prepare the development budget estimate and report costs members from appraisals to budgets estimate summary (BES) encompassing cost engineering works.
You will report to the Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities: · Land Appraisals: Produce commercial reports for inclusion in Land appraisal, ensure that all build costs are current and correctly appraised.
· Estimating: Responsible for updating the prelim and sitework rates, ensuring a regional cost library is established and maintained.
· Budgeting and Company strategic Plan: Involvement in the preparation of strategic plans, advising on build cost indices/inflation and providing updated and new appraisals/build expenditure forecasts.
· Health and Safety: Ensure familiarity with Alderley Partnerships health, safety and environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and external partners to ensure that all land elements meet the required standards.
What You'll Need: · Experience: Track record working for an established civils and/or groundworks contractor/developer.
· Knowledge: Fully conversant with various current measurement rules and ability to apply these to the preparation of detailed BOQ's · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to dealing with issues and challenges.
· Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail.
