We are looking for an experienced Estate Operations Manager to lead a team of estates and property managers responsible for the delivery and management of the corporate and commercial investment estate.
Working with the Corporate Property Services senior team, you will help shape, design and lead an improved estate management service.
You will lead and manage the Estates Management team, being responsible for the commercial and operational estate management, including tenant management and rental income.
You will play an active role in Corporate Property Services' Senior Leadership Team and help drive forward the organisation to achieve its vision and goals and develop and implement comprehensive estate management strategies and processes to optimise the performance and value of the property estate portfolio.
You will ensure that appropriate leases, licences, tenancies, easements and wayleaves and other such property contracts are in place and undertake property reviews and option appraisals to ensure that property assets are fit-for-purpose, used efficiently and fully utilised, supporting the delivery of the Council's aims and objectives.
About You You should be an experienced Estates Management professional, have prior Local Government experience (or similar Public Sector organisation), and be educated to Degree standard or equivalent qualification and Chartered to MRICS or comparable industry recognised accreditation.
Knowledgeable and aware of new trends in property management, driven and self-motivated, you are passionate about your profession, aware of the rules and responsibilities that are expected in management of the public estate.
As a manager of a team, you will be expected to have empathy and awareness of the needs of others, whilst leading by example in the conduct of your duties.
You must have excellent verbal and written presentation skills, strong MS Office skills, competent in online reporting and document management systems to review valuations, leases, condition reports and be able to develop good working relations with other professional teams.
A good understanding of estates and facilities management and the wider property industry is desirable, and you must have excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
You must also have access to a car and a clean driving licence.
