You will assist work on complexsystems, carry out dynamic risk assessments, work autonomously as required,organising and rectifying reactive works and carrying out statutory plannedmaintenance items to ensure maximum availability of equipment to minimize anydowntime.
The ethos is to put patients first and work towards a collective building and working are at the core ofwhat we do Main duties of the job Thesuccessful candidate will work as part of the Estates management team, managingthe staff and also responsible for the maintenance/record keeping of equipment.The role covers a wide spectrum of responsibility from carrying out AuthorisedPerson duties such as ventilation and Pressure systems to "driving"teams of staff to support reactive works, installations and routine servicing.Support Estates Managers with contracts and specialist maintenance contractorsensuring that we perform and complete our Statutory obligations.
Therole will focus upon some key areas such as managing workflow, communicatingwith key stakeholders, carrying out Risk assessments, acting as a team leader,ensuring policies and procedures are adhered too and promoting productivity.This role will be either mechanically/electrically biased working with otherEstates managers on a variety of works and projects to directly support patientcare.
The role will offer trainingopportunities to help develop the successful candidate who will work withoutside agencies, other Trust departments, specialised maintenance contractorsand valued partners.

Working to standards laid down in Trust policies and legislation to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff and visitors Person Specification Experience Essential Substantial relevant experience having demonstrated high versatility and flexibility Health Technical Memorandum 04 Legionella Ability to communicate both verbally and by reading and writing.

Knowledge of various Health and Safety legislation as applicable to core trade, ensuring the well being of staff, patients and visitors Knowledge of and ability to carry out minor works of other trades after attending appropriate training Judgement is required regarding a range of facts and situations that require analysis where there is more than a straightforward choice of options regarding required work To be responsible for working with colleagues to maintain and improve the quality of services provided to our patients and other service users.
Ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local policies and codes of practice including Health and Safety, COSHH and in particular by following agr To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times whilst on duty.
Desirable Experience of - Working in an Acute Hospital Environment Knowledge of - Battery Systems, Fire Alarms Systems Emergency lighting systems, General electrical systems, General lighting systems LPHW Sytems, DHW & CW systems Steam rising plant Ventilation, Mechanical, Hydrotherapy, drainage and Sanitary systems.
Qualifications Essential Formal Qualifications (CSE/GCSE) Knowledge of Health & Safety, Moving & Handling, COSHH Portable Appliance Testing (City & Guilds 2377-002) Desirable City & Guilds Certificate [or equivalent] in an appropriate Trade Hydrotherapy Pool Maintenance Course Release of Trapped Lift Passengers Course Skills & Behaviours Essential Flexible and approachable Able to work as part of a team and co-ordinate work with other trades Understands and demonstrates the importance of effective communication with department heads Professional approach Able to prioritise own workload Desirable Interview and references
