Job summary We are recruiting for an Estates Maintenance Worker Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.The job role is busy and varied, working as part of the Mechanical team, as well as the rest of the maintenance team and managing your own workload.
You will be required to liaise with people within your department and around the Trusts Sites.The role will require attending maintenance requests, on call urgent call outs and weekly Planned Maintenance work orders.You will be expected to commute between various hospital sites.

Main duties of the job You will be a technician with a mechanical or plumbing background and will carry out, with minimum supervision, maintenance and installation work on all facilities, plant and equipment throughout East and Norther Herts NHS Trust Estate, to deputise for the Team Leader in their absence.You will also provide technical engineering advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, fabric, and utility services for the trust.

Person Specification Qualifications / Training Essential Approved Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or City Guilds Technicians Certificate, BTEC ONC or equivalent in relevant topics.
Previous Experience Essential Proven relevant experience working on breakdowns and PPM on mechanical/plumbing plant & equipment in a hospital environment.
Desirable Previous hospital experience Recognised M&E hands on experience with DHWS, Heating services Working knowledge of maintenance of medical gases Skills Essential Communication skills Organisation skills Keyboard skills High motivation Able to work unsupervised
