Main duties of the job Your Role:As an Estates Maintenance Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals remain safe, functional, and comfortable for patients, staff, and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include: Planned Maintenance: Executing a range of planned maintenance tasks to keep our buildings, plant, and equipment in top condition.
Safety First: Prioritising safety by conducting regular inspections and addressing potential hazards to create a secure environment.
Exceptional Service: Delivering outstanding customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Flexible Support: Adapting to changing priorities and working flexibly to support our clinical teams and patient care.Please refer to appendix one of the job description for the full responsibilities.

Job description Job responsibilities Use relevant tools and test equipment.Assist maintenance craftsmen and technicians as necessary.Utilise Estates documentation to ensure effective and economic issue of spares/materials from Estates Stores.You must ensure that all works you carry out comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all current legislation and/or guidance.
The Trusts Risk Assessment pack has been provided to ensure safe working practices.
All safety PPE equipment is available and must be used where required.You must work within the Departments evolving 1SO9001: 2000 Quality System framework.You are to ensure that check lists/advice notes are utilised to comply with the requirements of ISO9001: 2000.
Person Specification Experience Essential Ability to use a range of tools and equipment.
Experience of building services/engineering environment.
Conversant with health and safety issues within a workshop environment.
Desirable Understanding of ISO9001:2000 or equivalent quality system.
Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Personal Attributes Essential Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge and Awareness Essential Trained in Maintenance Activities Desirable Training in other trade skills.
Moving & Handling Health & Safety Qualifications Essential Good general education Working towards a recognised trade qualification
