This role is critical to ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices across a major nuclear energy infrastructure development.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining environmental standards and supporting the project's commitment to environmental excellence.
Responsibilities: Promote a positive Environmental Culture throughout projects, legal entities, and the supply chain Contribute to environmental commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices Implement and utilise environmental policies and procedures across all project work scopes Liaise with stakeholders to ensure mandatory compliance requirements and performance Conduct regular site performance inspections and audits Prepare and deliver environmental performance reports and KPIs Manage environmental incident response, reporting, and investigation Experience Required: Environmental HND/Degree approved by IOSH in a relevant environmental subject IOSH Qualification Proven experience in environmental management within large-scale infrastructure projects Strong understanding of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements Proficient in environmental management systems and reporting tools Salary, Hours and Location: £80,000 Annual Salary Accommodation provided 37 hours per week, Permanent, Full-time Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a critical infrastructure project, working at the forefront of environmental management in the nuclear energy sector, with the potential to make a significant impact on sustainable energy development.
