Environmental Health Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Northampton  to assist with the appointment of an Environmental Health Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Rate of Pay: £19.35 - £24.74 per hour Responsibilities: To inspect/audit and undertake interventions in commercial premises to determine compliance with food safety and health and safety legislation.
To investigate food hygiene and health and safety complaints, infectious or food borne disease, accidents and dangerous occurrences.
To coach, mentor and support compliant businesses Qualifications: BSc or MSc Degree in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent.
Registered with EHRB/CIEH Experience in Health Protection to include food safety, health and safety, infectious disease control and health promotion Experience of a wide range of enforcement activity Experience of dealing with members of the public Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
