Job Advert: Environmental, Health and Safety Associate (EHS Associate) Are you passionate about creating a safe and sustainable working environment?
Do you have a keen eye for detail and a drive to uphold the highest Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards?
If so, we want you to join our team as an EHS Associate .
Key Responsibilities: Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs and policies.
Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal procedures.
Assist in training employees on EHS policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Maintain and update EHS records as per established standards.
Contribute to the development of EHS policies and support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with internal and external specialists on incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards and applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Stay informed on the latest H&S regulations to provide guidance on site-level assessments, projects, and problem-solving.
Skills and Attributes: Process Management: Ability to create, document, and enhance business processes.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling detailed information and EHS metrics.
Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively train and collaborate with employees.
Prioritization and Self-Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions on time allocation.
EHS Compliance: Working knowledge of PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, Incident Management, and other safety regulations.
Emergency Preparedness: Ability to prepare processes for emergency situations and conduct risk assessments.
Problem-solving: Analytical thinker with a strong ability to identify root causes and suggest effective control measures.
Educational Qualifications and Experience: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
Proven experience in an EHS role .
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic documentation.
