About Your Opportunity: The primary purpose of this role is to ensure compliance to environmental legislative requirements including but not limited to Net-Zero, ESG requirements, Waste Management, Carbon Reporting / GHG reduction and maintaining the ISO 14001 environmental management system in line with EHS Framework and business/customer requirements. Maintaining an auditing schedule to cover all clauses of the ISO 14001 over three years covering the whole of NGUKL. Ensure that all global, national goals, targets and objectives are aligned and enforced to achieve their aim in the specified timeframe. Be the environmental champion with their direct report for all green matters and be an advisory voice to the UK NG Green team. Be the liaison between ES and to the other departments for advice, data collation etc. Including all matters sustainability with the link to corporate social responsibility.
Your Responsibilities: Ensure legal compliance to all relevant environmental legislation and that documented within the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Environmental, social and governance experience of reporting requirements for the UK CRFD and EU CSDDD
Ensure all government schemes are strictly adhered to in the specified timely manner like ESOS & SECR and subsequent actions completed in line with the business objectives.
Lead the creation and implementation of the Carbon Reduction Plan as required by UK Government
Implement carbon reduction projects which will aid the business to achieve their net-zero targets & objectives. Proficient and confident in writing business cases & managing projects involving external/ internal stakeholders
Regularly report environmental performance data to the business at all levels, updating on NGUKL performance against global goals
Be the subject matter expert for the 'fighting climate change' element to the business development/ bid teams to assist in winning new business
Analyse energy/ environmental data - identifying any hotspots or areas of key concern/ opportunity to drive carbon reduction or environmental impact
Create and maintain a collective NGUKL Waste Matrices to improve waste reporting as a business
Ensure all Hazardous waste is identified, controlled and disposed of professionally and the relevant documentation recorded.
Ensure that the Environmental Management System (EMS) is contributed to and maintained by following the process improvement cycle of continuous improvement via the model - Plan, Do, Check & Act.
Ensure all Global/ National goals targets and objectives are aligned and enforced to achieve their aim in the specified timeframe. Ensure all key areas like the reduction of GHG, Carbon footprint, Diversion of waste to landfill and recycling.
All key projects are championed, enforced and completed in the specified timeframe like CRP, Net Zero, and Green energy across NGUKL Sites etc.
Your Experience: Must have experience in this type of role previously covering the specified responsibilities
Manage the company ISO 14001 Management System and audit qualification
Global Net Zero Strategies
Environment, Social Governance
Carbon Reduction Plan for key customers
Management of Waste Systems
Energy management Plan
Counsel the in-company Green Team
Identify GHG/ Carbon footprint reduction projects for implementation
Other Compliance and ISO qualification and experience
Advanced MS Software Excel skills and excellent social skills
