Join Our client as a Senior EHS Consultant - Please note remote working is offered however, travel to the client sites in North West UK expected once every 2 months.
Are you a proactive and self-motivated professional with expertise in health, safety, and environmental management?
We are seeking a EHS consultant to join our client - a leading chemical industry trade association.
This remote position involves occasional visits member company sites across the Northwest of England.
**Key Responsibilities:** **EHS & Compliance Expertise** - Demonstrate knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and relevant national and international standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance in occupational health and safety and process safety management.
- Drive environmental management initiatives and promote resource efficiency, sustainability, and chemical stewardship.
- **Effective Communication & Engagement**: - Support the development of a robust communications programme through various channels, enhancing member company engagement and promoting our services.
- Maintain consistent communication with members to ensure their needs are met and provide effective internal reporting on account management activities.
- **Collaborative Teamwork**: - Foster strong relationships with member companies, creating multiple touchpoints to promote collaboration.
- Work alongside the team to identify opportunities for partnership and knowledge sharing among members.
- **Program Delivery & Quality Assurance**: - Assist in managing and delivering the UK Responsible Care vision through active membership engagement and best-practice sharing.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, uphold CIA policies, and support the smooth operation of responsible care / ehs networks.
- Investigate member complaints and ensure timely communication of findings to stakeholders.
- **Professional Development**: - Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with SHE compliance, Responsible Care, and sustainability standards.
- Achieve personal delivery targets for member engagement activities while actively seeking feedback for service improvement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A strong and proven track record within Environmental Health and Safety.
Ideally within the chemical sector Any COMAH site experience welcomed!
Ability to network and engage with a diverse company / customer base Willingness to work from home fully with occasional structured visits to client sites across the Northwest (anticipated to be for 1 week every 6 weeks or structured in a way that works best for you).
