Forsyth Barnes is seeking an experienced Enterprise Digital Architect on behalf of a leading company in the Education sector.
This senior role focuses on shaping and implementing scalable digital architectures for customer-facing systems, including digital commerce, payments, identity management, and customer support solutions.
Role Overview The Enterprise Digital Architect will lead the design and execution of technology solutions, aligning digital architecture with business objectives.
This position requires a strategic thinker capable of bridging business needs and technology, driving innovation, and optimising shared digital platforms across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Digital Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain a target digital architecture aligned with business goals.
Solution Design: Lead the design of complex architectures, including cloud platforms and data integrations.
Technology Roadmap: Create a technology roadmap to guide the evolution of digital systems.
Governance: Set and enforce architectural standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
Delivery: Oversee the implementation of integrated digital solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to drive continuous improvements.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior business and IT leaders to gather requirements and align on strategy.
Key Relationships Internal: Regular interaction with CTO teams, engineering teams, product leaders, and business units.
External: Manage relationships with vendors, industry peers, and regulatory bodies.
Impact This role directly influences the company's digital strategy, driving transformation, enhancing customer experiences, and delivering cost efficiencies.
The Enterprise Digital Architect will be instrumental in a multi-year digital commerce program, shaping the future of the organisation's digital capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in enterprise architecture (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks).
Expertise in MACH architecture, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data management.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in designing and delivering large-scale digital projects, with a focus on digital commerce.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential Competencies Strategic Thinking: Align digital architecture with overall business objectives.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to technology teams.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate architectural risks.
Innovation: Proactively drive continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect) preferred.
