We are currently recruiting a Secondary English Teacher for one of our partner schools in Paignton.
This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, providing a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified English teacher to make a lasting impact.
Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Paignton.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, inspire students to develop a love for literature and language, and contribute to their academic success.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and teach English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level exams, ensuring they achieve their academic targets.
Monitor and assess student progress, offering personalized feedback and support.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
Work collaboratively with the school's English department and other staff to share best teaching practices.
Engage in the wider school community and participate in extra-curricular activities when required.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in English or a related field.
Previous experience teaching English at secondary level is preferred, but strong NQTs are also welcome to apply.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A passion for teaching English and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
Flexibility and willingness to commit to a long-term position.
