We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader who is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in engineering preventative maintenance, particularly within FMCG.
As the Engineering Team Leader , you will lead and supervise your team of multi skilled engineers while ensuring the smooth operation of your shift.
The ideal candidate will lead by example anddrivea culture of continuous improvement and motivatetheir engineering team to deliver sustainable reliability of equipment through proactive maintenance.
Takingownership of the department whilst on shift, maintaining systems essential to the operation of an efficient engineering department.
You will work at a value added food manufacturing site!It is not a kill site and has high levels of hygiene and health and safety.
Shift Pattern: 2 Days 2 Nights ON& 4OFF07:00 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00 What youll be doing: Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard and meet sites requirements and are available at all times To ensure engineering stock control on all parts used booked out and accounted for correctly within the required systems Coach, train and give understanding to colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance The successful Engineering Team Leader candidate must hold an electrical qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and be 17th edition certified.
You must be an excellent fault finder and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs.
The role is crucial to the efficient running of our clients manufacturing site and therefore you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors.
Ideally youll have experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
