Engineering Project Manager

Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager.
The role involves delivering our most complex and priority projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of highly complex electronic sub-systems, from concept through to full production.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a senior member of the project management team and contribute significantly to our delivery strategy.
What we're looking for: Proficient in Project Management best practices, including Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management, and Earned Value Management.
Demonstrated experience in delivering significant projects/programmes on time and within budget.
Skilled in managing projects across various phases, from conception and initiation through to manufacture, qualification, and customer delivery.
Background in engineering development, ideally involving complex systems or electronic units.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others effectively.
Highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of pride in delivering quality work.
Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
More about the role: For more than 70 years, our client has been in a strong partnership with the UK military.
They have accomplished numerous milestones in defence engineering and have provided essential defence capabilities to meet the requirements of the armed forces across land, sea, and air.
This role is based at their headquarters site in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations.
The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop.
Training and development are offered to all employees.
