An opportunity has become available for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager who will take on the role of day-to-day management to develop, deliver, and maintain platform improvements.
You will participate in design reviews, recommend improvements, and create consensus through self-confidence, clear communication, and the technical skills to back your decisions.
This is a role that requires hands-on coding support when needed.
We have a range of React and React Native apps, bots, and extensions built with GraphQL and Typescript.
These talk to our PHP and Python services running on Kubernetes and Docker in Amazon Web Services.
We use SQL, Redshift, and MySQL for data - and have a few caching solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeading a team of technical leads and ensuring that the platform meets the needs of the businessLeading the development and implementation of our platform architectureWorking closely with the Lead Product Manager and engineering teams to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and secureBuilding and maintaining a high-performing platform teamDeveloping and maintaining technical documentation and system design specifications of the platformDefining operational measures that accurately reflect the user experience of our current and future platformsChampioning and maintaining quality standards and processesConducting code reviews, and making technical contributions to product architectureCoaching and mentoring other platform engineers and improving our effectivenessStays up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trendsSkillsAt least 5+ years experience as an Engineering Lead or Manager developing large-scale business-critical SaaS applicationsFlexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and rapidly growing businessExperience with a variety of backend technologies including PHPStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe Interview ProcessA 45-minute online interview with the Senior Talent PartnerOnline interview with the Director of EngineeringIn-person meeting with the CTO and Director of EngineeringAt Reward Gateway, we are committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible recruitment process for all candidates.
