We are looking for someone with a few years of experience developing software engineers and who knows how to grow them and make teams effective.
Growth Monetization team: The Growth Monetization team is focused on creating easy and engaging digital sales experiences for all of our customers across the world.
In 2025, as we continue to improve the overall digital sales experience for our customers, we're also focusing on building out more options and new capabilities that unlock even more growth in the future.
Our engineers on the team have a massive voice in the direction, planning, and build of these new capabilities and have played a vital role in the team's success throughout 2024.
What you'll be doing: Manage one team in the Growth Monetization spaceOwn the delivery of major initiatives and balance delivery with sustainable engineering practicesDefine and prioritize deliverables for new products/enhanced functionality, coordinating cross-functional scoping and feasibility to support business and customer needsManage and mitigate high-risk elements of initiatives, effectively communicate issues, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders, escalating where appropriateEnsure teams have the appropriately high technical competence and aim for qualityDevelop and support a great team of skilled and motivated engineers, setting clear expectations via constant feedback and 1:1s practicesCollaborate with the engineering leadership to engage, develop and retain talentFacilitate the advancement of team members through the creation of developmental opportunities and targeted skill enhancement via mentoring and professional coachingBuild a positive and consistent work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trustWho you are: 1-3 years of Engineering Management experience on top of a solid software engineering backgroundExperience with cloud services, such as AWS, or Google CloudSolid background in API technologies and usageComprehensive knowledge of Agile MethodologyExperience with high volume, scalable systemsExperience developing and deploying Front-End (Web & Mobile) changesExperience in coaching, mentoring, and growing your team and empowering each of them to be at their bestExtensive stakeholder management experience with a focus on working with the wider business and the ability to create alignment across teamsA desire to contribute to the future of Trustpilot, and the ability to make crucial technical decisions, in a pragmatic wayYou enjoy cloud and SaaS platforms and enjoy leveraging the services it providesSome relevant technologies and services we use: Infrastructure: AWS (CDK, ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, ...), Docker, CloudFormationLanguages: Typescript, Node.js, C#Frontend: React, Next.js, CSS Modules, SASS, Styled ComponentsStill not sure?
