Engineering & Design Technology Teacher - Key Stage 4 (KS4) Long-Term Opportunity in Southampton Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and passionate Engineering & Design Technology Teacher for a long-term role at a respected secondary school in Southampton.

Position Details Location : Southampton Role : Engineering & Design Technology Teacher (KS4) Contract : Long-term, with potential for permanent placement Start Date : Immediate or negotiable Salary : Competitive, based on experience and qualifications Hours : Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (with occasional after-school commitments) Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Engineering and Design & Technology for Key Stage 4 students, specifically focusing on the BTEC TECH and/or Cambridge Nationals curricula.
Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages problem-solving, innovation, and critical thinking, tailored to meet individual student needs.
Collaborate with a dedicated team of teachers and contribute to the school's inclusive and positive ethos.
Candidate Requirements Qualifications : QTS is preferred but not mandatory; candidates must have substantial experience teaching Engineering, Product Design, or Design & Technology at the KS4 level.
Expertise : In-depth knowledge of KS4 engineering courses, particularly BTEC TECH and/or Cambridge Nationals, is essential.
Experience : A proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for KS4 students in Engineering or Design & Technology.
Safeguarding : Up-to-date safeguarding training (within the last year) and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Eligibility Right to work in the UK.
Ability to provide two professional references, ideally from roles involving KS4 teaching and child supervision.
