Job description Recircle is a UK-based developer and supplier of industrial rubber waste recovery and recycling technology.
Recircle's main technology lines encompass systems for recovering uncured tyre manufacturing waste and biotechnology for recycling end of life rubber waste into virgin identical raw materials for new rubber products.
Job Title: Engineering Data Analyst Recircle is currently expanding its Engineering Projects team and searching for an Engineering Data Analyst to join our company.
The primary function for this role will be to work with the engineering and research teams to analyse and report findings from data generated during testing and development programmes to characterise systems, identify systematic improvements and support optimisation of designs and processes.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the design of experiments, collection and structuring of data and analysis of patterns and performance data that contribute to decisions related to improvements and optimisation.
The role will involve processing engineering data sets from production/manufacturing environments that includes temperatures, pressures, feed rates, flow rates and power, so an understanding of engineering, including heat and mass transfer, will be required.
Reports to: Head of Engineering Responsible for: Data analysis of technical manufacturing systems Main responsibilities: Liaise with relevant departments to identify and collect relevant performance data.
Measure and analyse product performance data using statistical techniques, formulae and calculations to identify opportunities to improve and optimise process conditions and parameters.
Working with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure a complete review of data.
Identifying additional supplementary data stream requirements and specifying reporting formats and frequencies.
Optimise and maintain databases using relevant software programmes.
Present findings to senior management in report and graphical formats.
Ensuring data integrity through robust error checking and validation techniques.
Conduct statistical testing to validate the soundness of results and support robust conclusions.
Contribute towards informed decision making with the design and engineering team.
Create data dashboards and develop supporting procedures and controls.
Generating predictions based on data populations and life feed data sets Evaluate theories and hypothesis with a view to supporting solving of practical process and engineering problems.
Key Experience: Proven experience in an engineering data analyst role.
Proven experience in presentation and visualisation of data to both technical and non-technical stake holders.
Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment.
Experience within an engineering environment would be preferred.
Demonstrated ability of applying statistical modelling techniques to solve engineering related problems.
Experience using modern data analytics toolkits, Excel and Power BI Experience with programming languages such as Python would be an advantage.
