Job Description Our client, a global information technology services and consulting company, is recruiting for an Engineer - Simulation and Modellingto join their business in the United Kingdom.CAPABILITYBehavioral Competencies:Analytical mindset with a keen mindfulness, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of simulation results.Collaboration and teamwork, fostering an environment of open communication and knowledge exchange with cross-functional teams.Problem-solving orientation, capable of identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing improvements in the digital twin development process.Adaptability and continuous learning, staying current with simulation methodologies and industry advancements.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex simulation concepts and results to diverse stakeholders.Proactivity, self-motivation, and energy, especially in addressing electrical challenges.Environmental and social responsibility awareness, ensuring sustainable electrical integration practices.Technical Competencies:Excellent applied skills in multi-physics simulation, modeling, and requirements management.
Including or equivalent to IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management tools [DOORS NEXT, Workflow and Test management and Rhapsody], MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape, Siemens Capital software and ANSYS, COMSOLStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar for simulation automation and data analysis.Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) techniques.Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and parallel processing for large-scale simulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, specifically in the context of electrical systemsEducation:Degree level or equivalent in a STEM or adjacent disciplineExperience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in simulation and modeling engineering, with a focus on complex systems in aerospace or related industries.Proven expertise in utilizing simulation software for fluid dynamics, thermal analysis, and structural simulations.Experience in developing and validating digital twins or complex simulation models for real-world application.Experience in liquid hydrogen handling and simulation is highly desired.Experience in relevant technology development [TRL3-6] project environments highly desired
