DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician - Level I to join our team specializing in Service for CUK SERVICE in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Efficient Repairs: By applying documented procedures and policies, youll ensure that basic repairs and scheduled maintenance are completed efficiently and correctly.Quality Inspections: Your work in disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and components will help maintain high-quality standards and prevent future issues.Accurate Documentation: Assisting with the completion of required documentation ensures that all work is properly recorded, which is crucial for warranty claims and quality control.Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements will keep you up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies, enhancing your effectiveness.Workplace Organization: Maintaining the cleanliness and proper operation of your work area and tools will create a safer and more efficient working environment.Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures will help prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace for everyone.Proactive Reporting: Reporting any issues or incidents to your supervisor will help address problems quickly and maintain smooth operations.Team Support: By preparing required parts and tools, youll support your team in completing tasks more efficiently, contributing to overall productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role you will need the following: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in using electronic service tools and a strong understanding of mechanical principles to diagnose and repair Cummins heavy-duty engines efficiently.Attention to Detail: The ability to follow documented service procedures meticulously and complete all work and documentation accurately and to a high standard.Safety Compliance: A thorough understanding of and adherence to safe work procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.Effective Communication: Skills in creating and verifying service documentation, and the ability to escalate technical issues appropriately to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/ Experience: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionLocally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Minimal level of work shop experience requiredBasic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
