Job summary The Endoscopy Team at the William Harvey Hospital work hard to ensure that patients are put at ease throughout their treatment journey.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day responsibility for booking patients from the waiting list and maximising capacity utilisation as well as undertaking reception and other administrative duties within the Endoscopy Unit Main duties of the job You will have day to day responsibility for booking patients, have in-depth understanding of waiting list management and booking procedures and manage the endoscopy waiting list ensuring compliance with local and national targets, policies and procedures.
Provide advice, information, and guidance to patients and relatives regarding endoscopy appointments and general queries about waiting list management and direct queries Undertake responsibility for recording endoscopy referrals onto relevant patient management and validation systems and use problem-solving skills to resolve issues of delays and problems in this process before highlighting to the Operations Manager.
Greet patients attending the endoscopy unit for a procedure or and input all necessary data in real time on the patient management systems according to Endoscopy and Trust policies and procedures.
Keep all patient details up-to-date on the patient management systems in line with the Trust's policies and procedures on real time data collection and confidentiality, in order that information is available for endoscopy sessions, audit purposes, service planning and any other data that may be required.
Undertake other administrative duties including checking capacity and utilisation, handling post, data input of audit and other JAG/GRS requirements, histology results and notifying unit managers and/or supervisors of low supplies of stationery and patient information or procedure preparation items.
