Our client is seeking an Employment Solicitor with 2 to 5 years' PQE (though we welcome exceptional candidates outside this range to apply as well) to join their team.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work at the highest level within the sought-after sports sector.Role Overview: Drafting and Negotiating: Work on service agreements for high-profile senior executives and employees within football and other sports, including managers, coaches, players, and sporting directors.Advisory: Provide employment law advice across multiple sports, supporting teams in corporate, commercial, regulatory/litigation, and immigration matters.Dispute Resolution: Advise federations, leagues, clubs, players, athletes, agents, and other stakeholders in employment-related disputes.
Engage with various dispute resolution forums, including Employment Tribunal and appellate tribunals, Premier League's Manager's Arbitration Tribunal, and FA Rule K arbitration.Skill Building: Take advantage of a rare opportunity for day-to-day involvement at the highest level in the sports sector, enhancing your skills and professional growth.Caseload Management: Manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the growth of the firm's employment work alongside the existing team.
Candidate Requirements: Experience: 2 to 5 years' PQE (outstanding candidates outside this range will be considered).Qualification: Legally qualified to practise as a solicitor in England & Wales.Work Environment: Primarily office-based with some hybrid working opportunities.Employment Law Expertise: Extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.Tribunal Experience: Desired but not essential.Sports and Media Advisory Experience: Preferred but not required.
