The role of the Employer Engagement Adviser is supporting our new initiative 'One Hundred Futures' which has been created to support 100 young people aged between 16 and 24 to undertake a work placement which will help them to build skills, awareness and confidence, helping them to move into paid employment.
Your role within this initiative is to work alongside employers to understand the benefits of and overcome any resistance to employing young people with complex barriers to employment.
Identify opportunities for young people to gain work placements, attend workplace visits, sustainable paid employment and to positively influence other Gloucestershire employers to recruit and retain people.
About You You will have the ability to develop a range of close links with partnership organisations.
You must be customer focused and ideally have knowledge of employment policies, procedures and welfare services; including the ability to develop your understanding of local labour-market demographics; enabling you to work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals.
