Employee Relations Specialist (6-Month FTC) Location: North Leicestershire Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £34,866 to £45,163 Hybrid Working About the Role: SF Recruitment, in partnership with a leading education organisation, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract.
As a key member of the HR team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, strategically driven HR partnership.
You will oversee all employee relations casework, coach and support managers, and lead initiatives around restructures, training, and procedural development with a commitment to creating an inclusive and progressive employment experience.
Key Responsibilities: Case Management: Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, providing comprehensive support within designated areas and assisting other areas to strengthen team effectiveness.
Investigations: Lead and conduct investigations, develop tailored strategies, perform risk assessments, support report development, and coordinate with stakeholders for case progression.
Manager Coaching: Coach and guide managers through complex HR issues, including ER cases, to improve management skills and efficiency.
Organisational Restructures: Lead and manage restructures within assigned areas, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Data Utilisation: Leverage workforce data to support the Senior HR Business Partner in delivering a data-driven HR strategy.
Policy & Procedure Development: Use insights from case data to help create, review, and improve HR policies and procedures.
Training Development: Design and deliver training initiatives to strengthen managerial capabilities in handling HR matters.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with managers, unions, and other stakeholders to support effective employee relations and dispute resolution.
Wellbeing Support: Promote and support wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with specialist teams under the guidance of the Senior HR Business Partner.
Case Documentation: Ensure accurate record-keeping on the Case Work Tracker and regularly review case progress and risk levels.
EDI Focus: Embed equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of case management and organisational activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with other HR teams to deliver seamless and high-quality service to stakeholders.
Confidentiality & Compliance: Uphold confidentiality in all people matters, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant policies.
Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of HR.
Key Qualifications: Proven HR experience, particularly in employee relations, within a large prganisation.
CIPD Level 5 qualification (Essential) Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment law.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
