Employee Relations (ER) Case Advisor Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 Contract: Permanent Location: South Birmingham (Hybrid) Hours: Full time Role details - ER Case Advisor An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced ER Case Advisor to join a leading global business on a permanent basis.
This role offers the chance to work within a shared service centre environment, where you will provide in-depth support and guidance on various Employee Relations (ER) cases across the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide variety of employee relations cases, ensuring they are handled expediently, professionally, and with regard to minimising cost and litigation risk.
ER Case Advisor - What you'll do: As an ER Case Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting managers with complex ER issues.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing comprehensive support on various ER cases, managing these cases to resolution while maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for policy improvements and maintaining HR systems.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering results within set deadlines.
Provide in-depth desk-based support and guidance on various ER cases across the business.
Proactively manage a wide variety of employee relations cases by phone and email to resolution.
Gather relevant facts for each case to ensure the advice given is most appropriate in the circumstances.
Highlight high-risk cases, trends and management capability issues as appropriate.
Support with ER letter drafting including the formation of allegations and outcome letters.
Coach, guide and influence managers to take the best approach to dealing with employee relations issues.
Identify opportunities for policy / procedural improvement and report to Team Lead.
Manage and maintain HR systems, recording all ER cases in a case management system.
ER Case Advisor - What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Employee Relations Case Advisor role will bring a wealth of experience in advising and supporting managers on complex ER issues.
You will have strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact across all levels of management.
A strong customer focus coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities will be key to your success in this role.
Additionally, a strong understanding of Employment Law and good IT skills are essential.
Experience working towards challenging SLAs/KPIs will be highly advantageous.
Previous experience of advising and supporting managers with complex ER issues end-to-end.
Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management.
Strong understanding of Employment Law - Irish employment law knowledge would be advantageous.
Good interpersonal skills with excellent written communication abilities.
Good IT skills with experience working towards challenging SLAs/KPIs.
