Reference 74571 Emergency Refuge Team Supervisor Birmingham, West Midlands £28,673.87 per annum 37.5 hours per week About the role As a Team Supervisor you will be managing a team delivering individualised and person-centred support to aid the recovery, healing and resilience of individuals, and families in re-building their lives and minimising the risk of future harm following experiences of domestic abuse.
The role will involve the overall management of Emergency refuge accommodation sites across the Birmingham areas and management of 3 teams.
The role will include leading the teams within supporting individuals and children who have fled from domestic abuse into a safe environment enabling them to live a life away from fear of abuse.
We are looking for individuals with relevant experience in providing management support for a specialist support service providing support to people who have experienced domestic abuse from within the Birmingham area.
Excellent communication skills as well as a customer focussed approach are essential Experience of managing a team, carrying out one to one supervision, leading on team meetings and offering case management support for staff is desirable Experience of preparing staff work rota's Have good working knowledge of assessing risk, safeguarding, housing and Welfare benefits The ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and professionals within external partner agencies A working knowledge of legislation regarding domestic abuse and delivering support to vulnerable people IT Literate and competent with word, excel, support planning software and database management and creation.
Experience of using case management systems Experience of writing outcome reports Experience of performance management Essential to the role is a positive 'can do' attitude around working with individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
