This post offers an outstanding opportunity for the post holder togain experience of delivering services across the health sector and incollaboration with Local Resilience Forum partners across SNEE.The post holder will be a key member of the ICBs EPRR teamsupporting the ICB to deliver its leadership role in emergency response andthrough its assurance role, to ensure that all NHS hospitals, communityservices, primary care and mental health organisations are able to providecoordinated and effective responses to emergencies and incidents.As part of the EPRR Team the post holder will actively workto ensure that we meet our EPRR responsibilities as a Category One Responder asdefined in the Civil Contingencies Act and as set out in the NHS England EPRRFramework 2022.Responsible to the EPRR Manager the post holder will supportthe delivery of the ICB and the ICS EPRR workplan working collaboratively withsystem and LRF partners.Interviews will be held face to face on the 13th December 2024.
Main duties of the job Responsible for supporting the development ofEPRR systems, processes and activities ensuring they are fit for purpose.
Responsible for providing a variety of policy andproblem-solving input and expertise into the development of key EPRR policies.
Maintain close links and communication, workingclosely with EPRR leads from both our regional team and provider network on keyareas such as planning, response and statutory requirements.
To support delivery of training and exercisingacross our system to further increase individual, team and organisationalskills and resilience.
Supporting the Local Resilience Forums (LRF) and LocalHealth Resilience Partnerships (LHRP) in conjunction with the EPRRManager.
Undertaking roles within the IncidentCoordination Centre to manage the response to incidents affecting health andsocial care.
Working with the EPRR and Local Resilience Forumteams to ensure that incident processes are constantly improved from incidentlessons identified.
To act in an EPRR Tactical Advisor role in theevent of an emergency or major disruptive event by providing support to thetactical and strategic commanders.

Person Specification Communication Skills Essential Experience of collecting and evaluating information from different sources complemented by ability to analyse and present information to professionals Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with a variety of people Clear communicator with excellent written and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts accurately for diverse audiences.
Desirable Skills for communication on complex matters and difficult situations, requiring persuasion and influence.
Qualifications Essential Relevant Degree, or equivalent level of experience.
Specialist knowledge in a relevant subject to post graduate level.
Desirable EPRR qualification Recognised teaching/training qualification.
Membership to relevant professional societies (EPS / ICPEM/ BCI) Experience Essential Knowledge or understanding of the role of Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response within the NHS or Local Government.
Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity Management Systems.
Previous experience in a similar role in the public sector.
Experience of delivering training packages.
Ability to analyse highly complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of project management and/ information systems development.
Experience in using Resilience Direct.
Experience in delivering effective Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response projects.

Computer literate.
Experience of using Microsoft 365 packages including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel to at least intermediate level, including ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets.
Ability to analyse numerical and written data, assess options and draw appropriate initiatives.
Desirable A good understanding of the health and social care environment and the ICB roles and responsibilities within it.
Experience in managing mapping data.
