Emergency Nurse Practitioner - Kings College Hospital UTC Kings UTC - King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill, London, United Kingdom, United Kingdom 17 May 2024 About the role We have an exciting opportunity for Emergency Care Practitioners and Emergency Nurse Practitioners to join our team on a permanent basis, based at our Urgent Treatment Centre within Kings College Hospital.
If you are an experienced minor injuries qualified Practitioner who is passionate about patient centred care, wanting to enhance your primary care clinical skills and develop your leadership potential then we are the urgent care provider of choice for you!
Working as an Emergency Practitioner within our Urgent Treatment Centre, you will be responsible for the assessment of health and clinical needs of our patients, you'll use your minor injuries clinical skills, and own clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer or discharge patients.
This role will include face to face consultations supported by a variable rota covering weekdays, evenings, overnights, weekends and bank holidays.
Your day to day Carry out consultations with patients - taking a comprehensive patient history; physical examinations and use of your expert knowledge and clinical judgement to identify potential diagnosis.
Decide on and carry out treatment, referring to primary or secondary care specialist services within local agreed pathways and protocols as appropriate.
To either prescribe or work from PGD's as required to support the immediate needs of minor injuries patients presenting in the UTC.
Provide clinical advice and mentorship to junior clinical staff.
Qualifications, Experience & Training Registered Nurse or Paramedic - First Level Nurse or other healthcare professional qualification leading to registration Evidence of degree level study or equivalent Evidence of completion of study in minor injuries and x-ray interpretation Independent non-medical prescriber Evidence of completion of study in paediatric minor injuries or willingness to develop these skills Ability to work autonomously Rewards & Benefits 28 days plus bank holidays (permanent contracted staff) Annual leave for bank calculated on hours worked Perkbox (online discount portal), 6% Employer Pension contribution, NHS pension *if applicable Share save scheme, Opportunities for career development, Employee assistance program, Virtual GP Services - 24/7 GP Appointments, WeCare Wellbeing The salary for this role is from £43,741 - £50,055 plus HCAS as applicable.
