Embedded Software Engineer The Company: Our client is a leading technology developer known for its commitment to delivering innovative solutions in the communications sector.
They are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in real-time communication technology and are now seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join their talented team.
Role Overview: As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing embedded real-time software.
You will work closely with a dynamic team, tackling challenging real-time platform issues and implementing creative solutions.
This role is perfect for a Junior/Mid-Level Engineer that would like to strengthen their skills in real-time software and develop a wider skill-set in embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities: Embedded software development for new features.
Debugging real-time issues and bug fixing.
Writing unit tests and integration tests.
Participating in code reviews and document reviews.
Interfacing with the wider organisation including hardware, test and integration team.
Participation in SCRUM ceremonies.
Required Experience & Skills: Programming experience in C. Knowledge of real-time operating systems.
Good analytical skills and logical reasoning ability.
Ability to generate new ideas and approaches to problems.
Problem solving and working on challenging projects.
Excellent debugging skills with tenacity to probe issues to understand their root causes.
Experience of using configuration management and fault tracking tools.
Desirable / Skills you can develop whilst in the role: Linux kernel and system programming.
RTOS and Microcontrollers.
Real-time, multi-processor, multi-threaded, event-driven software.
