What you will be doing: As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art products and technologies. You will contribute to the rapid development of analog and digital electronics, communication protocols, writing device firmware for bespoke electronic solutions, edge-computing and wireless communication.
Conducting necessary research on electronic components, electro-mechanical devices, RF systems and embedded microcontroller devices. Translate device design intents into real-world functionalities through smart engineering strategies and your code will be responsible for making our devices all over the world work in genius ways. Collaborate with the hardware development team (product design and electronics) on the technical specifications of embedded devices and electronic components. Investigate the occurrence of failures and bugs in the operation of our devices and participate in root cause analysis (8D and similar) exercises to develop and roll out fixes. What we are looking for: Degree in Electronics / Electrical / Computer Sciences or equivalent. Passionate about creating devices Experience with developing firmware for microcontroller devices, like Atmel, Microchip, Silicon Labs, Nordic Semiconductor, Espressif and ARM-based platforms in bare metal as well as RTOS environments using C/C++. A comprehensive understanding of microcontroller peripherals is a must including communication standards like SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, etc., deft knowledge of utilizing SFRs, Timers, Counters, Interrupts, ADCs, etc. Working familiarity with commonly used RTOS like FreeRTOS, mbed OS, TinyOS, Contiki, Zephyr, etc. You will be familiar with Computer Networks, Communication Protocols, Network Configuration with Windows and Linux platforms and Low-power RF Networks such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread etc. Experience with OpenThread and working with such open-source code bases on Linux environments like Ubuntu is desirable A clear understanding of computer communication networks, IP v4/v6, CoAP, UDP, TCP and relevant network diagnostics would be desirable What's in it for you?
