Alpine F1 Team have a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Trackside Electronics group as Electronics Systems Engineer.
Electronics Systems Engineer – The Role
This is a travelling role which supports all on car Electronics, including data acquisition, system set-up, fault diagnosis and resolution, car health monitoring and the calibration of sensors for the full race calendar.
The successful candidate will be the Electronics specialist working on the complete chassis and liaising closely with the Race, Controls and Performance Engineers, to ensure all systems and sensors are working correctly.
Responsibilities will also include overseeing the correct electrical assembly and build of the chassis, while providing technical support and leadership to the car team.
Additional technical activities/projects will be assigned to help develop system engineering soft tools and hardware to promote improved performance, automation, and reliability throughout the season.
Electronics Systems Engineer – The Person
We are looking for an engineer with experience in racing car electrical and electronics and data acquisition systems, extensive experience in these areas would be at an advantage.
They will be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and delivering high quality support and solutions to crucial deadlines.
They must work well in a team high pressured environment, be an excellent communicator and confident in providing technical direction to the team.
Excellent decision making skills are a must.
