Electronic Design Engineer – London - £55K Hexwired have partnered with an exciting electronics manufacturer in the London area who are looking to add an electronics design engineer to their R&D team.
They are looking for someone with around 4-5 years of electronic design experience in schematic design and PCB layout.
Key Responsibilities Design and development of electronic products, from initial concept to schematic creation, PCB layout, and manufacturing.
Collaborate with external manufacturers to create prototypes, optimize production processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Work alongside firmware and FPGA developers during the design and debugging phases.
Analyse and resolve issues reported by manufacturing teams or technical support, contributing to improvements for both existing and future products.
Essential Qualifications A degree in Electronics Engineering (minimum 2:1) or equivalent professional experience.
4–5 years of experience in electronics engineering, including schematic design and PCB layout, with a proven track record of contributing to successfully shipped products.
Expertise in high-speed digital design and measurement techniques.
Hands-on skills in assembling, testing, and modifying electronic circuits.
Experience with DDR memory system design.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring colleagues or managing small teams.
Desirable Skills and Experience Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: Signal integrity simulation.
FPGA-based systems.
EMC compliance techniques.
Design of complex, high-layer-count PCBs (8+ layers).
OrCAD Cadence or Zuken Cadstar PCB design software.
