We're seeking an Electrolysis Research Engineer to join a pioneering organisation committed to reducing the carbon impact of global fuelling.
The company's mission is to make synthetic fuels more accessible than fossil fuels, and they're rapidly expanding their engineering team to support this goal.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of experimentation and innovation, enhancing efficiency and lowering costs for hydrogen production.

What you'll be doing: Conduct experiments to increase current density and reduce £/kg H2, focusing on:Different electrode materialsDifferent bonding optionsDifferent electrode form-factorsDevelop and iterate on membrane and gasket designs, including material selection.Optimise cell and stack designs for scaled deployment, addressing shunt-current and longevity challenges.What experience you will need to apply: Experience of managing engineering projects and experiments in a professional setting.Bachelor's or Masters (or PhD) in electrochemical engineering, materials, chemical engineering, or related field.Experience of deconvoluting complex scenarios to translate them into actionable steps.Thrives in a fast-paced environment.What you'll get in return for your experience: To be part of a growing company with the potential to make a monumental difference in global decarbonisation.London-based offices.Salary of £70-80k, depending on experience + share option availability.Flexible time-off.
