As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembly and test of electro-mechanical sensor systems and components for a variety of industries.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
The successful candidate will have excellent practical skills in electronics and assembly of miniature mechanical assemblies, working under microscope and, within a clean room environment.
We develop OEM integrated sensor solutions with leading global companies in the Aerospace, Automotive and Robotics industries for the measurement of Torque, Force, Pressure and Temperature.
Current applications include torque systems for eDrive motors, motor racing driveline shafts and torque systems for aerospace engines.
The sensor systems utilise proprietary technology and componentry including SAW sensing elements and a dedicated ASIC.
The ASIC delivers a RF signal to the sensing elements and receives their resonant response, from which the physical measurement can be established using software analysis and calibration algorithms.
The role brings with it the ability to use and develop a wide range of experience and knowledge, while at the same time, working within a dynamic and creative team.
The key responsibilities for the Electro-Mechanical Technician are: · Assembly of SAW sensors and associated electronics.
· Testing and electrical verification of sensor assemblies.
· Support of calibration and production testing Qualifications and Experience: Education: · Minimum requirement: BTEC or Equivalent practical experience · IPC J STD 001 Soldering certification or training (class 1) Experience: · Experienced in fine detail assembly, working under microscope.
· Have knowledge and understanding of wire-bonding, die bonding and epoxy dispensing.
· Understanding of clean room practices and standards.
Personal attributes: · Results-driven and a self-motivated team player · Strong communication skills.
