Job Description Job Title: Electrical Supervisor Location: Stratford Salary: £46,000 per annum \n About the Role: \n An experienced Electrical Supervisor is sought to manage the day-to-day operations of electricians and apprentices, ensuring compliance with company policies and the rules of enrolment with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) .
This role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality electrical services, providing technical support, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
\n Key Responsibilities: \n Operational: \n \n Provide technically sound knowledge, support, and guidance to colleagues and clients on electrical installations and related tasks.
\n Advise and support the team with day-to-day activities and out-of-hours service provision.
\n Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, clients, and external consultants, ensuring smooth communication and cooperation.
\n Liaise with the NICEIC to ensure compliance with all rules and requirements for continued membership and enrollment.
\n Collaborate with the supply chain to maximize social value delivery, including work experience, apprenticeships, employment opportunities, volunteering, and funding support.
\n \n Commercial: \n \n Procure sub-contractors at the best possible rates while ensuring quality standards are met.
\n Utilize knowledge of the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates to streamline operations.
\n Drive the productivity and commercial return of operatives without compromising quality or safety.
\n \n Health and Safety: \n \n Ensure all work is carried out with the highest regard for safety.
\n Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture within the team and on-site.
\n Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to health and safety non-conformities.
\n Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all projects, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
\n \n Key Requirements: \n \n Proven experience in electrical supervision , including managing electricians and apprentices.
\n Strong knowledge of electrical installations and repairs and maintenance in both commercial and residential sectors.
\n Expertise in electrical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
\n In-depth understanding of NICEIC standards and regulations.
\n Ability to manage procurement and sub-contractor relationships to ensure cost-effective and quality-driven solutions.
\n Knowledge of the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates (or similar pricing structures).
\n Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
\n A commitment to promoting and enforcing a positive health and safety culture.
\n Experience preparing RAMS , risk assessments, and method statements.
