Manufacturing Support Electrical Engineer Location: Trostre (SA14) Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum + Benefits What you will do As the Manufacturing Support Engineer, you will: Determine and set engineering priorities in collaboration with line managers to optimise plant performance.
Devise and implement planned maintenance and inspection schedules in line with statutory requirements.
Ensure all engineering activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
Allocate resources and materials effectively to ensure maintenance schedules are met on each shift.
Monitor engineering teams and contractors to ensure work is carried out to plan.
Manage staff training and development to create a safety-conscious and technically competent workforce.
Control expenditure on spares, materials, and labour, ensuring that budgets are adhered to.
Lead initiatives to improve engineering practices and plant performance, serving as the key electrical expert for the team.
Prepare and submit minor capital and major maintenance proposals to ensure plant availability and performance improvements.
Participate in an out-of-hours call-out system to support fault resolution and breakdowns.
What you will need You should have a solid practical background in electrical engineering, with relevant experience in a supervisory role.
A minimum of an HNC qualification or equivalent is required.
