Job Role – Electrical Documentation Engineer Reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer the Controls Engineer shall assist our engineering team by improving documentation processes for control systems.
This role involves reading and creating wiring diagrams, documenting key work procedures, and ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date according to industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of controls engineering and be skilled in producing clear, concise documentation to support ongoing operations and promote effective knowledge sharing within the team.
Duties – Electrical Documentation Engineer Interpret and Create Wiring Diagrams: Read and accurately create wiring diagrams for control systems to support various engineering projects and maintenance activities.
Document Work Procedures: Develop detailed documentation for control system work procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence to established guidelines.
Maintain Documentation Accuracy: Regularly update and maintain all documentation related to control systems, ensuring it is current, accurate, and complies with industry standards.
Support Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to gather necessary information and provide documentation support for ongoing projects.
Standardize Documentation Practices: Assist in standardizing documentation formats and practices to enhance efficiency and consistency across the organization.
Facilitate Knowledge Transfer: Create user-friendly manuals, guides, and other documentation to aid in the knowledge transfer process, supporting both new and existing team members.
Assist with Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory and quality control standards, assisting in audits and compliance checks as needed.
Experience/Qualifications – Electrical Documentation Engineer Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Understanding of Control Systems Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, Creo, Visio or similar tools.
General understanding of the operation and maintenance of diesel engines and electric motors.
Candidates who are currently a Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer and Engineering Manager could be suitable for this role.
