Chroma is pleased to be recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a growing engineering company.
This is a key role for a motivated and skilled engineer with a background in electrical design who can provide technical solutions within a design office environment.
The position requires initiative and the ability to handle detailed design projects, often independently and sometimes under time constraints.
You will be part of a collaborative team for large-scale projects and may assist in mentoring junior team members.
This role involves producing high-quality electrical designs and drawings using AutoCAD or E-plan, following company and industry standards.
The Electrical Design Engineer will support multi-panel installations, develop cost-effective design solutions, and ensure all drawings are updated for future reference.
Key Responsibilities Design & Detailing : Create electrical layouts and control panels, ensuring compliance with quality standards and relevant regulations.
Component Specification : Collaborate with departments for component selection, cost optimization, and technical support.
Compliance : Adhere to BS7671, EN ISO 13849-1/2, PUWER, and UL508 standards for projects, including international markets.
Testing & Modifications : Document necessary changes, test control panels, and update drawings accordingly.
Mentorship : Assist and support the development of junior staff in technical learning and progression.
