Electrical Design & Automation Engineer MCS Group is proud to be working with an innovative manufacturing company based in Dungannon to recruit an Electrical Design and Automation Engineer.
You will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge electrical systems, PLC programming, and HMI interfaces.
Duties & Responsibilities Develop and analyse electrical circuit designs to meet product specifications.
Create detailed schematics and documentation for electrical systems.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automation systems.
Optimise existing PLC code for performance and efficiency.
Create and implement user-friendly HMI interfaces for machine control and monitoring.
Ensure HMI designs are intuitive and meet user requirements.
Manage time lines effectively to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Oversee products from concept through commissioning and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs and troubleshoot issues.
Conduct tests and validations to ensure electrical systems meet functionality and safety requirements.
Document test results and recommend improvements.
Travel to various locations for on-site maintenance and commissioning of systems.
Essential Criteria Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in electrical design tools Experience in PLC programming (e.g.
Allen Bradley, TIA Portal).
Experience in HMI development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
