A globally leading Chemical Manufacturer based in Middlesbrough are on the lookout for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join their team!
As an integral member of the Electrical Team, the Control Systems Engineer will be working alongside the manufacturing and maintenance teams to design, develop and maintain control systems using Siemens PCS7.
Salary and Benefits: Annual Salary up to £65,000 36 Holidays (Inclusive of Bank Holidays) Competitive Company Pension Scheme Days Based Role: Monday – Friday Incentive Bonus Scheme Paid Quarterly Role of the Control Systems Engineer: As the Control Systems Engineer, you will be ensuring new and repeat batch processes are brought online on time and within budget.
This also includes providing technical support to the maintenance technicians and providing support for the manufacturing facilities in production.
You will contribute to delivering capital projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer : Design, develop and maintain control systems using Siemens PCS7 and S7 PLC's.
To troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
Develop and maintain safety programming on PCS7, ensuring compliance with IEC 61511 standards.
Manage alarm systems in accordance with IEC 62682 standards to ensure effective alarm management and operator response.
Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and risk assessments, including Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
Essential Skills and Qualifications for the Control Systems Engineer position: A degree in Electrical Engineering / Control Systems or related field.
Experience within Siemens PCS7 and S7 PLC's.
Strong working knowledge of COMAH Regulations and safety standards.
Competence in troubleshooting and resolving complex control system issues.
Experience of working in a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
