KEY REPONSIBILITIES Curriculum Development and Delivery Develop, maintain and evaluate academic structures to manage the following activities: Content delivery for, and assessment of assigned modules, Module development, assessment and evaluation, Assessment administration including External Examiner approval, representation on awarding body assessment panels, boards and meetings where required, Marking and Moderation practices, Leading Graduation process and attendance, as required Learner experience & success Manage the admissions process, undertaking 'academic interviews' to assess applicants for suitability and ensure accuracy of assessment data.
Provide signposting to other entities to support students as they engage with higher and further education programmes (e.g.
student advisors, library).
Recruit and manage the course delivery team to ensure appropriate student and tutor engagement with the learning platform (i.e.
Moodle).
Contribute to the planning and execution of extra-curricular activities for students (e.g.
events management, 'bootcamp' management) Education Partners Management and Liaison Build and maintain partner relationships Review and improve internal practices to meet on-going academic structures in relation to the university and other awarding bodies' processes and structures.
Implement and review academic processes, curriculum, validation requirements and strategy as agreed with the external awarding bodies and stakeholders.
Provide relevant administration evaluation reports, such as the annual monitoring report to the awarding bodies as requested.
Ensure the timely return of assessment and other academic material for delivery to awarding bodies.
Technical and Quality Monitoring Liaise with other tutors & administrators to enhance the timely delivery of course content in a structured manner.
Train and manage and support the tutor team in meeting assessment deadlines, admissions processes and other requirements of the awarding body, applying educational and technical policies for compliance purposes.
Management of guest speakers/lecturers to support the delivery of courses.
Identify potential risks to CNet's education framework, maintain a risk register and monitor action resolution.
When required assist in the development of work instructions, guidelines and processes in accordance with ISO9001 procedures and maintain adherence.
Knowledge, skills and experience required: Master's degree in a relevant subject area and a PGCert in Higher Education, level 7 qualification (or willingness to undertake this qualification).
Excellent communication and organisational skills with an approachable manner, collaborative with experience that demonstrates building on stakeholder trust.
Data savvy and familiar with the concepts of data governance and data protection, data handling and/or information management.
Resilient in outlook and able to respond to the challenges of working in a global organization with multiple levels of authority.
Team player, able to take direction and lead from the front with a keen eye for detail and an appetite for delivering quality services and responding to feedback.
Competence regarding academic processes and the tools with which duties are carried out (e.g.
Moodle, Microsoft Office, student admin).
