We have 1 post available within the team.The Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner will work with colleagues in the Cheshire East MHST, working closely with education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, training, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence based interventions.We will require successful applicants to be registered with either the BABCP or the BPS as you will be working within a NHS commissioned service.This is an exciting time for Children and Young People Mental Heath Services so please come and be part of the development.
Main duties of the job The post-holder will work within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team (Cheshire East MHST) and provide a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.Accessing regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be an important aspect of the role.The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Qualified Post Graduate Certificate or above from a provider university as part of the CYP-IAPT programme EMHP, CWP Professional registration with recognised National Body (BPS, BABCP) Desirable Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree.
Demonstrates continued professional development within the mental health arena as evidenced by certificated course from recognised training bodies.
