What will you be doing?
This job is focused on building algorithms to trade corporate bonds, bond ETFs, and customized credit portfolios.
You will work closely with the trading desk, provide insights into pricing, risk, and liquidity of the credit market, and contribute to monetize the flow, drive the revenue, and expand the business.
Research will take a substantial portion of your duty, tackling some of the most challenging quantitative problems in credit market making, such as: • Realtime pricing for tens of thousands of corporate and EM bonds with limited and noisy input of market data.
• Identify patterns and factors driving trading flow and liquidity of the bonds.
• Develop algorithmic trading and market risk models and design cost-efficient hedging strategies.
• Search for trading signals to best monetize the flow and mitigate adverse selection.
• Help set up an efficient back testing framework to quickly validate new ideas and trading strategies.
You will also be contributing to designing, improving, and maintaining analytical tools and supporting day-to-day operation of the credit algo desk.
What we're looking for: • Advanced degree (PhD, Master or equivalent) in quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science and engineering.
Relevant experience of academic research is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial markets.
Knowledge of fixed income instruments is preferred.
• Solid knowledge in probability, statistics, machine learning and optimization.
• Experience in coding in Python.
Knowledge in KDB and Java is a plus.
• Comfortable working with large and sparse dataset.
• Capable of formulating trading ideas and business request into well-defined problems and making incremental steps to implement the solution.
• Experience of developing, deploying, and maintaining models in production.
• Ability to communicate complex technical details to a wide range of audience including stake holders, traders, fellow strats and model validators.
• Self-motivation, rigor, and tenacity.
