Our Economic Crime Strategy and Change team is a first line of defence function, responsible for day-to-day Frand and Financial Crime identification ownership, management and control.
We're looking for an Economic Crime Learning & Development Manager to join the team who will be responsible for the development management and delivery of an annual Economic Crime (EC) training plan that supports colleague development while enhancing EC risk culture, awareness and capabilities across businesses units and operational functions.
You'll be responsible for ensuring that Virgin Money conducts business in an ethical manner, demonstrated by the creation and implementation of an EC culture programme, sponsored from relevant Board and LT Members.
What you'll be doing Lead the implementation of the Economic Crime training strategy & framework, underpinned by an annual training needs analysis (TNA) and supported by a delivery plan.
Lead annual planning, schedules, content upgrades and delivery of Economic Crime training, collaborating with learning partners across business units.
Liaise with Business units, operational team and compliance to help assess capabilities, effectiveness and competence to determine functional training requirements as part of the TNA build.
Adapt training to align to strategic priorities and address emerging risks and/or regulatory change to help ensure the programme is current and supports the change we need.
Support Governance resource in methodology to track and report training development, completion and impact.
Look beyond fraud and financial crime to develop training in other financial crime domains, including Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
Inputs, regular attendance and updates to relevant governance forums i.e PCB, ECRCF Leading role in Transformation programme associated working groups Partner with our L&D Comms leads to develop and align n comms strategy, plans and execution We need you to have A strong understanding of UK Money Laundering and Sanctions regulation; FCA requirements; and JLMSG Guidance although SMEs will contribute to content Knowledge of financial crime requirements, in particular AML / CTF, Sanctions, Sanctions, Trade Finance, Fraud advisory, customer screening, CDD On Boarding, Payment services & treasury – list not exhaustive Knowledge of Retail Banks products, distribution channels, customer types (retail and business mass market) Knowledge of risk frameworks, controls & effective measures / MI & Insights Experience in training delivery methods including face-to-face and virtual facilitation, creative content build Experience in completion of training needs analysis, along with development of learning delivery plans A history of strong Stakeholder management across multiple business units Excellent change implementation experience and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbally People Leader experience; ability to lead with purpose, collaborate and push for the greater good, drive inclusion, make is safe to try new things and positively challenge, push boundaries and bring fresh thinking It's a bonus if you have but not essential Knowledge and understanding of Virgin Money's learning management system and the tools we use to create learning content Understanding of the tools used to carry out our employee engagement surveys and the ability to analyse these results Red Hot Rewards Generous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if part-time)? plus the option to buy more.
