We are looking for an EC&I Lead to join a growing power generation business within the waste sector.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next steps to becoming a plant maintenance manager in the future with support from our client.
Overview: The Maintenance Team Leader for Electrical, Control & Instrumentation will oversee all frontline maintenance activities related to electrical, control systems, and instrumentation.
This includes all process, building, and site systems within the plant.
The goal is to ensure operational compliance and high availability of the facility.
Responsibilities: Execute all work following the Safe System of Work, prioritizing the safety of people, equipment, and the environment.
Provide leadership and ensure all maintenance personnel are trained and competent to work within the Integrated Safe System of Work.
Maintain the facility according to industry best practices, complying with environmental, legal, license, and internal standards.
Lead, develop, and motivate the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians to deliver exceptional maintenance services.
Assist in the recruitment, planning, and management of maintenance team personnel in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
Support the development of apprentices and succession planning within the team alongside the Maintenance Manager.
Deliver proactive maintenance services to the facility.
Coordinate and execute all preventive and predictive maintenance activities across the facility.
Manage planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
Oversee external maintenance support services.
Coordinate maintenance activities with the Production Team to maximize operational availability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience: HNC/HND with extensive experience in maintenance, construction, and/or engineering services.
Lesser qualifications may be considered if supported by significant relevant experience.
Proven maintenance experience in complex operational environments (Power Generation, Industrial Process).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of leading small workgroups.
Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and PLCs is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Familiarity with High Voltage switching and control concepts is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Experience with complex integrated plant and equipment common in continuous process industries such as power generation, cement, and petrochemicals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Must be eligible to work in the UK as no visa sponsorship will be provided.
