Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist Part Time

This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team at Brighton and Hove Clinic, a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 up to 18 years.
The successful candidate will be providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.
Main duties of the jobAs the Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload as the Responsible Clinician of the ward, participating in the assessment and management of children and young people referred to the Service, assessing physical health, completing professional reports, and acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
You will also be expected to provide leadership, supervision, and risk management to the key workers on the team, as well as participate in the CAMHS Consultant on-call rota and Continuing Professional Development.

Person SpecificationQualificationsYou must be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice, have experience of CAMHS Eating Disorders, and be medically qualified with MRCPsych or equivalent.
Additionally, you should have excellent spoken and written communication skills, the ability to initiate corporate decisions, and strong leadership skills.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
