Job summary Hours per WeekCalderdale and Kirklees Child and Adolescent Mental HealthService (CAMHS) has an exciting opportunity to recruit to the Eating Disorderteam.The successful candidate will be a part of the pathway and willsupport the team in developing and driving this intervention within the EatingDisorders service.
This will include supporting service development based onbest practice guidelines and existing research and evidence.You will deliver highquality interventions following care planning, treatment and regular reviews(CPA) from the qualified practitioners in your team for children and youngpeople who meet the criteria of the pathway.By identifying children and youngpeople earlier and providing the right support, we can work with families toprovide a dedicated treatment plan to be able to, prevent escalation and reducelong term difficulties and decrease the pressures in the ED and acute services.We are looking for someone highly motivated and enthusiastic whohas an interest and understanding of Eating Disorders.

Main duties of the job The successful candidate will: Be passionate about improving the delivery ofevidence-based treatments for children, young people and their families.Be a driven, enthusiastic and forward thinking.Have knowledge of Eating Disorders and ARFID.Have experience of working in a CAMHS setting.Have excellent assessment, risk assessment, careplanning and reviewing skills.Be able to work and participate within an MDT.Manage a caseload of young people with EatingDisorder and ARFID presentation/ diagnoses.
Attend at a variety of meetings to discusscomplex cases as well as liaison with other services.
Be able to consult with others to give adviceand guidance regarding a Systemic approach.The post also involves attendance at a varietyof meetings with our external partners/agencies to ensure effective pathways ofcare.
Delivery of group interventions whereappropriate.To personally maintain accurate records.Developing and maintaining supportiveprofessional networks across the trust.To liaise with and actively promote excellentworking relationships and support the Senior Mental Health Practitioner withcommunication & working practices with referring teams and partneragencies.

Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
Frequent, protracted sustained and intense concentration.
Show respect and treat people with dignity.
Be able to give bad news sensitively.
Be able to sustain empathy in difficult situations.
Be aware of all interviewees in any situation.
Desirable Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.

Experience of groupwork TRAINING Essential Completion of formal training to meet eligibility as clinical supervisor of Doctoral Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Essential Good Psychometric Assessment skills Experience of assisting in training of Post Graduate Clinical Psychology Trainees Exceptional communication skills in verbal, non verbal and written modes.
Ability to empathise and develop good therapeutic alliance Ability to Formulate Complex processes.
Capacity to conduct Psychometric Assessment Ability to travel around the Trust as appropriate to the role Keyboard skills Manual Dexterity for conducting tests.
Desirable Working with people in Crisis Working on an in-patient Psychiatric ward.
Qualifications Essential Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Significant Post qualification experience in a Setting relevant to the post HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
