AdvertRenfrewshire Council are looking to recruit enthusiastic and caring early learning support workers for our general supply pool.
Appointable candidates will be required to work on a temporary basis covering short- or long-term requirements within early learning and childcare establishments across the full Council area.
Shifts are between 11am-2pm and may be within term time or 52-week establishments.
This is a unique opportunity to gain experience of working with young children.
You will be part of a team assisting Early Learning and Childcare Officers to deliver high-quality provision for Renfrewshire's youngest children including the creation of a nurturing and homely environment during the lunchtime period.
Please note that being appointed to the Supply Register does not guarantee any minimum hours per week; pay is calculated based on actual hours worked.
Although a qualification is not essential to apply for this post you should have relevant caring experience with an ability and commitment to undertake a qualification as stipulated in SSSC guidelines for support workers employed in day care services for children.
To fulfil registration requirements, you will be required to gain this qualification within a 5 year period.
Applications are particularly welcomed from individuals that hold or are working towards a relevant qualification at SCQF Level 6 e.g., SVQ Level 2 in Social Services Children and Young People, NC in Early Education & Childcare or equivalent.
The successful candidates will be required to register with SSSC as support workers within six months from successful appointment to the post, if not already registered.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
