We are seeking a Level 3 EAL Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Oldham, where you will play a vital role in helping students overcome language barriers and thrive academically.
Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to students with EAL needs, helping them improve their English language skills.
Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver tailored interventions and support in line with students' learning plans.
Assist in the planning and preparation of resources that meet the individual needs of EAL students.
Support students in understanding and completing classwork, assignments, and assessments.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence and academic progress.
Monitor and track the progress of EAL students, providing regular feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
The Ideal Candidate: Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with students who have EAL needs, particularly within a secondary school environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' language development and academic success.
Knowledge of strategies to support language acquisition and integration in the classroom.
