Tyrone, BT82 0HN You should be able to work in a team setting and have the flexibility to work on rotating shifts covering 24/7 including weekend and public holiday working.

The role will involve all aspects of the powder production process from machine set up and operation to provision of product for packing and despatch.
All roles will also involve manual lifting, completing production/dispatch records and maintaining quality standards.
A high standard of numeracy and literacy is therefore required.
Computer skills are also required for this role.

A knowledge of food safety and previous production experience or experience in a production/manufacturing environment sector would be advantageous.
Mechanical or electrical knowledge would also be an advantage.

POSITION Dryer Operative DEPARTMENT Drying Department SITE Artigarvan REPORTING TO Production Supervisor DATE November 2024 THE ROLE Working under the instruction of the Area Manager/Supervisor, this is a Dyer Operative role with responsibility for system efficiencies, operation of manufacturing equipment and cleaning/maintaining of production process equipment in-line with Corporate, Quality and Health & Safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring that production operations are conducted in adherence to all company standards for Hygiene, Health and Safety and workplace cleanliness Hourly checks of all equipment, set point monitoring and recording of relevant information.
Conduct and assist maintenance with PM, RM and breakdown tasks as and when required.
Conduct post operational checks on all equipment after the process has been completed.
Completes pre-operational checks on all equipment before starting a process.
Collects all samples and checks components of raw materials and finished product in accordance with published SOPs.
Completes all work instructions, production, quality, safety and hygiene logs accurately and in a timely manner Operates equipment and machinery in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures, making corrections as required based on system/operational monitoring information Continuously monitors all aspects of the production process for leaks and spills; Takes immediate corrective action and informs the supervisor Monitors and documents production, chemical, maintenance and cleaning processes, informing the Production Manager/Supervisor of any issues or concerns.
Undertake training, learning and operational change as required in the effective and efficient production of Dry Milk products.
Communicate effectively with other departments, management and operatives in the effective and efficient production of quality product Provide cover for other departments as required Undertaking any other duties as required in delivering effective/efficient milk production KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Candidates should possess proven experience and knowledge in the following areas: Essential: Working on your own Initiative defining, planning and managing your workload Attention to detail ensuring accuracy of information and process Ability to problem solve and resolve issues quickly and effictively Report writing and presenting information.
Recording and analysing data Excellent IT skills Microsoft packages (Excel, Word).
